Empowering Teens and Mothers through Sustainable Income
Economic Empowerment Program

At KEIG, we believe in empowering out-of-school girls and teenage mothers by providing them with the skills and resources necessary for sustainable economic independence. Recognizing the importance of financial stability in breaking the cycle of poverty and improving quality of life, our economic empowerment program focuses on equipping these young women with vocational skills and entrepreneurial knowledge.

Training and Skill Development

Our program offers training in various crafts and trades such as bead weaving, basket making, tailoring, and more. These skills are not only marketable but also enable the girls and mothers to create their own products to sell, thus generating income. We collaborate with local artisans and experts to ensure that the training provided is of high quality and relevant to market demands.

Training and Skill Development

In addition to vocational training, we provide comprehensive business education that includes financial literacy, budgeting, marketing, and small business management. This knowledge helps the girls and mothers understand how to start, run, and grow their own small businesses effectively.

Microfinance Support:

To further support their entrepreneurial endeavors, KEIG facilitates access to microfinance services. We provide small loans and grants to help them kickstart their businesses or expand existing ones. This financial support is crucial in enabling these young women to become economically self-sufficient.

Market Access:

We also assist in creating market linkages by helping the girls and mothers connect with potential buyers and markets for their products. Whether it's through local fairs, online platforms, or partnerships with local businesses, we strive to ensure that their products reach a wide audience, maximizing their income potential.

Mentorship and Networking

Our economic empowerment program includes a robust mentorship component. Experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders volunteer their time to mentor these young women, providing guidance, support, and networking opportunities.
